For D2C founders buying growth every month

Your revenue is growing. Is the business?

If every new month starts with another payment to Meta or Google just to keep revenue moving, the problem may not be your ads. It may be the economics underneath them.

The expensive misunderstanding

Ads can be profitable while growth is fragile.

A dashboard can show profitable campaigns while cash flow still feels wrong. That happens when paid media is doing the work that retention, conversion, positioning or measurement should have been doing underneath it.

01 / ACQUISITION

You keep rebuying the same revenue.

When returning customers are weak, every revenue target demands another round of paid acquisition. CAC becomes rent instead of fuel.

02 / CONVERSION

More traffic enters a leaking funnel.

Paid media can hide a weak product page, offer, checkout or message simply by pushing enough people through it.

03 / MEASUREMENT

The platform grades its own homework.

Meta and Google are useful distribution systems. They are not neutral judges of incrementality, attribution or business health.

The question is not “how do we get cheaper clicks?” It is “what is making each acquired customer worth too little?”

Start with the economics

LTV:CAC tells us where to look.

Customer Lifetime Value (LTV) tells us how much economic value a customer creates over the relationship. Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) tells us what it cost to acquire that customer. A 3:1 LTV:CAC ratio is a useful baseline, but the ratio is not the strategy. The inputs are.

When LTV:CAC is persistently below a healthy range — often around 3:1 or better — profitability becomes fragile. The business has less buffer against rising acquisition costs, discounting and pricing wars, seasonal demand swings, or shifts in market behaviour. If the ratio is weak, we work backwards: acquisition cost, conversion rate, repeat purchase, order value, lifecycle and margin. One number becomes a map of the business.

LTV
Customer Lifetime Value

The value a customer creates across their relationship with the brand, not just on the first order.

CAC
Customer Acquisition Cost

The blended cost of acquiring a new customer. This is the cost the lifetime value has to earn back.

This is where a growth system starts.

Five signals. One constraint.

We do not audit channels in isolation.

Most agencies inherit the business underneath the ads and optimize inside the ad account. Mawara works across the layers that determine whether paid acquisition can compound at all.

Unit economics

Blended CAC, LTV, contribution margin and payback. We establish whether the machine can economically support more acquisition.

Funnel conversion

We follow the traffic you already paid for from landing page to purchase and find where intent collapses before recommending more spend.

CRODrop-offOffer

Retention

We look for the activation moment, repurchase window and 1st-to-2nd order behavior that determine whether CAC gets recovered once or repeatedly.

CohortsLifecycleRepeat rate

Positioning

Reviews, objections, competitor gaps and customer language show us why people buy, what nearly stopped them and what the ads should actually say.

Measurement

GA4, GTM, CAPI, CRM and channel data are checked as one evidence system so decisions are not built on whichever dashboard is feeling most optimistic that morning.

What you leave with

A diagnosis, not another proposal.

Thirty minutes is not enough to “solve growth.” It is enough to stop solving the wrong problem. The goal is to identify the highest-leverage constraint and the evidence needed to attack it.

01

Your primary growth constraint

The one bottleneck currently doing the most damage to profitable growth.

02

The metric that should govern it

What to watch next instead of drowning in channel-level reporting.

03

The first experiment or investigation

A concrete next move: CRO test, retention analysis, message research, tracking repair or acquisition change.

04

What not to spend on yet

Because avoiding the wrong intervention is often worth more than one more clever tactic.

A deliberate filter

This audit is not for everyone.

That is intentional. A smaller number of relevant founder conversations beats a form full of bargain hunters, interns and people who clicked because Meta found them cheap. Humanity survives another optimization cycle.

Useful if…

  • You already have customers and paid acquisition.
  • Revenue can grow but margins or cash flow still feel uncomfortable.
  • You suspect retention, conversion or tracking is limiting scale.
  • You want a senior operator to look across the business, not only the ad account.

Probably not useful if…

  • You are pre-launch or still validating whether anyone wants the product.
  • You only want someone to “run ads” with no access to broader business data.
  • Your main success metric is the cheapest possible lead.
  • You are looking for a guaranteed ROAS promise. Those usually age like milk.

The 30-minute growth audit
